Rafael Jimenez went to his victim’s home and beat Peter Barges to death in his own driveway
Barges was found dead in the driveway of his home near 71st and Lake on January 22, 2009. His 10-year-old son Jake was inside the home at the time.
Earlier, Homicide detectives arrested 21-year-old Armando Gomez for Accessory to a Felony. Gomez was booked into the Douglas County Department of Corrections.
A most wanted fugitive out of Nebraska, Rafael Jimenez is suspect of murder and other violent crimes. This fugitive is wanted on two separate criminal warrants with two separate charges on each warrant. Although, separate warrants, both incidents occurred on the same night. Allegedly, Rafael Jimenez first attacked his wife, and then murdered Peter A. Barges in Omaha, Nebraska. The outstanding warrants and charges against Rafael Jimenez are as follows.
WANTED FUGITIVE -Rafael Jiminez
- Warrant 1831887, Jiminez is charged with 2nd Degree Murder and Use of a deadly weapon, other than a firearm, to commit a felony.
- Warrant 1815096, Jiminez is charged with Assault by Strangulation and Terroristic Threat.
